Guilty, me? (Skyldig, jeg?)
Sigbjørn Holte (24) lives in Oslo and makes a living making films and commercials. His family have a history of environmental activism, and find Sigbjørn's modern lifestyle and choice of career reprehensible.
While they are fighting for moderation, they believe Sigbjørn is surfing on welfare abundance and contributing to increased consumption.
After a conversation in which his mother challenges him to actually take responsibility, Sigbjørn decides to get to the bottom of the problem once and for all. He goes to Vestlandsforskning to calculate his carbon footprint. When Sigbjørn learns that his CO2 emissions are 16.6 tons a year, while a sustainable level is 1.5, he realizes that he may not be able to continue this life. He decides to follow the advice of experts on sustainable living.
Throughout the film, we follow Sigbjørn's struggle against his own habits and encounters with people who have both chosen to change their lifestyle and people who are not interested in doing so - among them Sigbjørn's friends. We follow the ups and downs as he tries to inspire others to live sustainably with him.
